Socialization & Fear of Parvo! When/Where is it Safe ??!

We cannot advise Specifically on that topic, unfortunately, and do always redirect families back to their dog’s Licensed Veterinarian when making any Medical Decisions.

We Can say that it is Very important to ensure Any puppy training facility Requires Proof of Vaccination and that they Clean Before and After Thoroughly & Properly per CDC Guidelines with Proven Parvocidal (like Bleach or Accel).

We, Also, recommend a puppy having at LEAST THREE (3) Combo Vaccines Before allowing the puppy Down in Public (even in public shopping carts) to Lessen risk of exposure.

However, the Extent & Timing of Public Socialization & Training is truly at the discretion of the local veterinarian and the puppy Owners.

During the puppy stage we (as Non-medical professionals) Highly Recommend getting a Puppy Stroller or Carrier and Focus on socialization with PEOPLE, Places & Things and of course let the puppy See other pups or dogs from afar but not interact until the 3rd or 4th Multi-Way Vaccine (Especially during Flu Season!), unless it is at your home or a friend/family members home and it is a Known dog (that is Fully Vaccinated). 🙂

Pro Tip: Using Pine Shavings in the Stroller or Carrier can:

1) Extend Socialization trips

2) Keep puppy Clean

3) Reinforce Litter Training

4) Prevent any Leaking or Potty Pains 😉🥰

P.s Ask Your Puppy's Veterinarian about going to the Ocean after High Tide (staying away from visible feces) and/or hiking or camping 30+ Minutes from any town (to reduce the risk of unvaccinated animals in the area leaving infected stool behind). <— According to the CDC those are Low Risk for Parvo and good for puppy socialization 😊
